Although all the content in here is my own intellectual property, many articles have the uses of copyrighted images, mostly book covers. To respect the work of the people who painstakingly came up with them, and to also spread awareness about fair usage, the following may be considered:
FAIR USE IN ARTICLES
Though some images are subject to copyright, the use of each of these is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:
# It illustrates an educational article about the book from which the cover illustration was taken.
# The image is used as the primary means of visual identification of the article topic.
# The use of the cover will not affect the value of the original work or limit the copyright holder’s rights or ability to distribute the original. In particular, copies could not be used to make illegal copies of the book.
# The image is only a small portion of the commercial product.
In short, none of the visual inputs in my website breaches any sort of copyright laws.
And I want to give a big thank you to the contributing photographers at http://www.pixabay.com, http://www.unsplash.com and http://www.pexels.com for putting up their work under the Creative Commons License, allowing bloggers to make their websites better and more appealing.
